Tuition Information

Current full and part-time tuition and fees for all U-M schools and colleges are available from the Office of the Registrar. The university sets tuition at different rates for Michigan residents and those from out-of-state. To be eligible for resident classification a student must demonstrate compliance with the University’s Residency Classification Guidelines. Students are responsible for using the correct university residency classification when applying for admission and registering.

To determine your current tuition or estimate future costs, select ‘College of Engineering’ in the list. The chart will display full term tuition and fees for both Michigan residents and non-residents. Once doctoral students have achieved candidacy, tuition is billed at the candidacy rate regardless of residency status. For those who enroll in fewer than nine credit hours, part-time tuition for the first credit hour and all credit hours thereafter are listed.
