What Should International Students know?
The information on this page is applicable for international students who have accepted their offer of admission and for whom an immigration document will be prepared.
Immigration Process for International Students
- The College of Engineering emails applicants with an admissions decision.
- After the applicant accepts the offer of admission in Wolverine Access, you will receive a matriculation email.
Documents for Preparing for Immigration
Once you accept the offer of admission, you will receive a matriculation letter including the guide of applying for a student visa. Please set up your U-M Uniqname before you start the visa application process.

Q: What’s the deadline for submitting documents for my I-20?
A: Required documents must be received by May 15 for Fall term, March 1 for Summer term, and November 9 for Winter term.
